We propose the superconducting LC circuit (or rf-SQUID in the quantum limit) as an efficient device for quantum information processing based on continuous variable coherent states. The devices has a sufficiently large non-linear coupling for the generation of the Schroedinger cat states and entangled coherent states. They also allow for direct measurement of the amplitudes of the coherent states.
